Vintage Decorations

Some of you have possibly seen my vintage things before.  They are a few of family treasures I have managed to keep all these years. Coloradolady's Vintage Thingies always has great features each week.  Check them out by clicking her button or go to http://coloradolady.blogspot.com.

I have had this little blue brush Christmas tree a very long time.  It is one thing I always put out each Christmas.

This  wreath was made back in the early 70's from a kit.  I used to do a lot of handwork, but no more. Eyes have gotten too vintage.

Now, this little Santa is my most treasured decoration. He belonged to my mother.  He comes out each year and lets his little light shine.

Hi LV, I love vintage Christmas decorations. You have some very special pieces here. I love the little blue bottle brush tree. I've never seen one this color and I love it. What a sweet wreath, the fabric is so pretty. You gave me a good chuckle about the vintage eyes. I understand why the Santa is your treasure. I have some treasures from my mom I take out each year too.

Hugs,
Emily

There is nothing like vintage Christmas decorations. They change so much with the decades. I look at my tree and I wonder sometimes what my children will consider vintage someday. Your mother's Santa is totally charming. I sure like that little red light.

Oh mt GOSH!! Your tree in the first picture, I just bought one exactly like it!!!! We couldn't put up our big one because the cats gnawed on the lights. I will post it at some point and you can see it.

Hi LV. I absolutely love your vintage Christmas decorations, especially the little bottlebrush tree and the santa that lights up. Wonderful to think that your mum used to own it. I have only little santa (on a sleigh( on my tree, which comes from when I was a little girl, so that's 60 years old! Hope all is well with you, and may I wish you a very happy Christmas.

Hi LV!
How fun we shared the same Santa this week! Gave me a big smile.

I have no idea if the bubble light I have with mine is the original or not? There was always a bubble light in it when I was small though, so I just assumed it was the right one.

Do you know if a regular bulb like you have, is what came with them?

Merry Christmas!
