Coloradolady is having a big vintage show today. To check out the great offerings, click over to http://coloradolady.blogspot.com.
A vintage Lance peanut stand and jars. It is an original and priced a $1,000. Can you get ready for that?
In certain establishments you still see workers wearing hair nets. I am sure they cost more than 10 cents.

Fabulous photos, and I still see some wearing hair net!
Yes, I do see some workers wearing nets. I always just hated them. :)
I do remember these canisters with LANCE on them...wow...the price of some of these older things just rock my boat.
O, and Deeds, my 10 yr. old grand, spent the night with me last weekend and we watched 2 Johnny Depp movies...she thinks he is just about the cutest thing EVER ! She laughs and laughs and says, "Memeaw, you are too old to be in love with him", when I say, "O, Deeds, I am sooo in love with Johnny Depp"....so, of course, I just go on and on about him. She is so much fun...we have a good time together.:)
Love the old peanut stand and jars but WHOA! a thousand smackers is awfully steep. Is it somewhere you frequent often LV? (so you can see how fast someone snatches it up at that price?)
Happy VTT!
Wow!!! That Peanut Display sure doesn't go for 'Peanuts' anymore..LOL! Doesn't look like that vendor really wants to sell, huh? I do see food servers wearing hairnets these days, but not as much as in years past. Saw a guy the other day with one covering his BEARD! And no, it wasn't SANTA! Happy VTT!!!
can you believe anyone would pay $1000 for a peanut machine?
You know we threw away so many things years ago that are now worth a small fortune. Wonder what the treasures of the future will be?
Have a nice day,and thank you for visiting me and for your nice comment. xx
The framed hairnets - what a great gift for a hairdresser that likes retro! Visiting you from VTT.
Come and join me for my Countdown to Kitschmas.

I love that hair net collage picture. Perfect gift for a hair designer's shop or home.
I'm glad you found me again! I guess some jobs they do wear hair nets, but now they seem to be the ones that look more like shower caps! I remember when my mom and grandma would sleep in hair nets, also when they used pin curls.
Good morning LV, I have been posting a bit less lately. When the holidays are over I am hoping to pick up on blogging again. I love the hairnets of old. I have a package of them and they are packed up somewhere. When I used to sell antiques I still have stuff. I need to go through it and give it to my son. He and his wife have an antique booth in Tennessee. Right now we are packing for our river cruise in Europe. Less than a week now. We are very excited to be able to do this.
wishing you happy days for the Christmas season.
Big hugs dear LV,
Jeanne
