Pink Saturday

It is hard to come up with an interesting pink this week after the glorious party last week. Everyone did a great job honoring Beverly and Pink Saturday on their 5th anniversary. Without a doubt if you check things out at you will be pleasantly surprised at the pretty pinks you will find.

This pink jewelery would have been perfect to have worn at last weeks celebration. It is okay as it is not really my style.

Friday's Fences--No.2

Another delightful Friday's Fences with Jan & Jer. Many interesting fences can be found at

This is my weekly fence find and trust you will enjoy it.

Vintage Thingie Thursday

Another addition of Vintage Thingies Thursday has arrived.  Coloradolady invites you to drop by
for a great vintage show.

I am not familiar with this children's art.  Appear to represent some fairy tale.  Spotted in antique mall. The first one could be associated with Mother Goose and the other some kind of Knight.

Pink Saturday Is Five

Back in 2008, a young lady named Beverly had an idea that she had to feature something of hers that was pink on Saturdays. The
following are some of her pinks before the official "Pink Saturday" was made available to all participates.

This is one of her very favorite figurines. She gives special characters around her house names. "Beatrice" was given the honor of becoming "Pink Saturday's" button.

This little hinged box was a very special gift
from her husband

Even though this vase belonged to her maternal grandmother, it was obtained through an auction.

These are her very own slippers, which her husband felt she needed.  She has a very thoughtful mate.

These are a set of salt and pepper shakers
they received as a wedding gift.

She received a great response to her pink posts. "One Friday evening, I was racking my brain for an idea, and amazingly enough a little pink light bulb went off in my head". Pink Saturday was born May 31, 2008. She only had two participates on her first post. Pink Saturday has "grown" a lot since then. Each week the participates have increased considerably. You can attend her special five year celebration at

I know you love roses just as I do.  This is one of my very favorite shots of my roses this year.

Congratulations Beverly, and thanks for letting us be a part of your "pink" life five years. It has been a pleasure being in you lovely home each Saturday.

Vintage Thingie Thursday

Coloradolady always has a grand sharing of vintage goodies. It is so much fun going to each Thursday to see all the neat vintage features.

Turn the vintage radio on and listen to Amos & Andy or Lawrence Welk.

This vintage sewing machine is for all the people that enjoy sewing.  It is a blessing they have improved. I saw it in an antique mall.  I just go and look, but rarely buy.

Blue Monday

Smiling Sally
Happy Blue Monday to all the worldwide participates. Smiling Sally broadcast each week her blues throughout the blogging network.  You can find her at or click her button.

One of many Texas blue bonnets.  We had an abundance of them this year. Even made driving the freeways nicer as the right-of-ways were covered.

It is very rare to see a pay phone anywhere anymore, especially in blue.
