Sky Watch Friday

If you do not like the skies in Texas, just wait a minute they will change. It is Thursday, and Thanksgiving in Texas as well.  Wherever you are may the skies be bright and blue for you.  The three people making all this possible, Yogi, Sylvia and Sandy would be pleased to have you drop by http://skyley.blogspot.com

Blue Monday

Smiling Sally
A warm hello to you on a very cold, icy Blue Monday.  Texas has finally gotten a touch of winter. Trust wherever you are, things are nicer.  I wonder what is happening with Smiling Sally today. We can find out at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com

Some of you might remember I often feature my great grandson, Layton, on Blue Monday. His favorite color is blue and he likes being on Blue Monday. He made this for me a couple of years ago.  It is the only Thanksgiving decoration I put out. Even on his turkey, he made a blue finger and eye.

I wish each of you a "gobble" of blessings for your Thanksgiving. Should you be on the road, may it be straight and safe with blue skies all around.

Vintage Thingie Thursday

Most of you are probably busy getting ready for the holiday, but take a break, visit http://coloradolady.blogspot.com and say hello to Coloradolady.

This is a 1918 National cash register. My, how times have changed.

I cannot remember what the sign said on the tank, other than it was one of the first Gulf gas pumps back in the 1900's. This was in an antique mall I recently visited. I enjoy going and look, but seldom buy.

Blue Monday

Smiling Sally
Welcome aboard, we are joining Smiling Sally and friends at the Ark today. More great blues can be found at
http://smilingsally.blogspot.com

Different versions of Noah's ark.  I thought it appropriate to share today as it marks the date I lost my husband, Noah, November 17, 1995. It is very hard to believe it has been 18 years.
1991
This was the year I retired.  The first year was very hard as I enjoyed working and being with people.  However, it turned out to be the best thing.  It gave us more time to share with each other and do things we enjoyed.

Vintage Thingie Thursday

It is vintage time with Coloradolady. Should you be interested in vintage goodies, you will find something to your liking at http://coloradolady.blogspot.com

This old tractor takes us back in time, but still working just fine. As you can see in the next photo, it belongs to my son, and he uses it regular in the spring and summer.

Now, this vintage one gave up a long time ago and retired.  It was used many years in the cotton and grain fields.
