Outdoor Wednesday

Susan and her outdoor friends gather each Wednesday to show off some very interesting sights.  Let's check them out at http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com

I recently had the tree to the left of my shed cut down. This was the way it was before the tree trimmers started. I sat and watched the entire process and it is amazing how they go about doing the job. Go up the  tree like a monkey. They made me a nervous wreck just watching.

The fellow is now descending after being at the top.

When they got it down, this was all I had let.  However, since then, the stump has been ground up.

Blue Monday

Trust Sally and all participates are starting the week off nicely.  We are having cooler mornings and still hot days. The best way to a perfect day is to visit
        http://smilingsally.blogspot.com

As some of you know, occasionally I have to feature Layton, my great grandson. He is very active in sports.  He has played most all of them except basketball and soccer. His greatest love is golf.  He is presently playing on a team of touch football.  I did not want him to do this. They can get hurt so easily. At least, plays on the defense where maybe a larger player want tackle him.

These are high school dancers from another school nearby.  Layton is in the 4th grade. He and the other fellows on his team wear their football jerseys on Friday for spirit day.  The dancers wanted a picture with them. Of course at their age, the boys thought this pretty cool.

Blue Monday

Sorry, Sally my blues today are not something you would write home about.  Just have not taken the time to go" blues" shopping.  There will be plenty worldwide ones at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com

I spotted this painted on the side of a building. Possibly railroad related.

Pink Saturday

Nice to be able to spend a Saturday with Beverly and friends at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog
I have no idea what this lovely bloom is.  My neighbor recently took a trip to New Mexico and shared this with me.
Another shot of my Rose of Sharon.  It has really outdone itself this year.

Look forward each week visiting TexWisGirl and participates at http://run-a-roundranch.blogspot.com

The cactus gives this fence just the right touch.

Outdoor Wednesday

My, here it is Outdoor Wednesday all ready. Time is passing much too fast.  We better hurry over to http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com

I have had so many squirrels all year but the last few days, they have gotten really frisky.  Must be the cooler temperatures. They played chase a long time and then hide and seek.  They are cute to watch, but can be a pest as well.

Blue Monday

It is a nice day in Texas for Blue Monday and trust it is the same wherever you are. Our hostess, Sally, allows us each week to see some of the best worldwide blues. The best place to see these is at
http://smilingsally.blogspot.com

You might say I had to go to the bottom of the barrel this week for my blues. This was one of birthday gifts back in August.

My great-grandson, Layton, had me this blue balloon.  It is still blown up even today.  For almost three weeks it glowed in the dark.  However, the glow is dimming.

This is the back of my computer. When I had to take it to the computer hospital, I made a picture of the various cords.  I knew I would not remember where they went.  Nice that one of them is blue.
