Recently attended a baby announcement as to what the baby would be.  My first to such an occasion. They sure do things different than in my days. These are the cookies served as well as this lovely cake.

This told them it was to be a boy. Popped out of a long tube.

On one of our cold days last week, this beauty popped up all my itself.  No other blooms in sight.
Nature has kept me rather confused this year. You cannot beat a Yellow Rose of Texas.
