If I Were A SantaTuesdayWith MeMe
If I were a Santa, you know what I would do, I'd dump silly gifts that are given to you. I would bring you things you have lost, but treasured before.
I'd give you back all your maidenly vigor. Than restore the old color that once graced your hair, before times and bleaches took residence there.
I would remove all your wrinkles and leave only one chin, so you could not spend hours rubbing grease on your skin. You'd never have hot flashes or queer dizzy spells. And, you would not hear noises like ringing of bells.
I would bring back the shape you were gifted. So things now suspended need not be uplifted. I'd draw in your tummy and smooth down your back, till you would be a dream in those tight fitting slacks.
No sore, aching feet and no corns on your toes. No searching for your glasses when they are right on your nose.
You would never have a headache, so no pills would you take. No heating pad needed since your muscles won't ache. Yes, if I were Santa, you would never look stupid. You would be a cute little chick with the romance of a cupid.
But alas, I am not Santa. I am simply just me. Even though we have grown older this wish is a sincere

Merry Christmas Pink Saturday
Wishing all the Pink Saturday participates the merriest Christmas ever. No doubt, this being the Saturday before Christmas you will be busy. However, there is always time to rest and say hello to Beverly at

My Christmas Cactus never lets me down. I have had this plant for years. It has started to bloom and will be so much prettier by Christmas day. It amazes me how that works.
Whatever type tree you have, may you and family be richly blessed by Santa and the good Lord.

Vintage Thingie Thursday
This is similar to the way my sister and I had a tree.(This is not the two of us) However, ours was not even this good. We never had a tree farm or store bought tree. We went to the woods, searched for a tree, chopped it down and brought it home. Decorations were all hand made with whatever we could find. Unless you have experienced different generations, you cannot understand the meaning. This was the way we celebrated in a true, vintage, Christmas fashion. We were happy, loved and content as we knew no difference.

A "Cherry"-Ful Surprise
This has been a wonderful week for me. I get so excited when the mail comes and there is a surprise. I received this note and pretty Christmas tree tag from one of my blogging friends. I am sure most of you remember her as Sue, "It's A Very Cherry World" that had Rednesday. We became friends through it as well as the SSS one year.
Thank you so much Sue for thinking of me. It is nice to be remembered anytime in anyway. So many people are not that fortunate. I am blessed.
Since I do not have a tree to hang it on, this is how I have it displayed. Not the best photo. Still learning how to use my camera.

Santa Is No Secret Anymore
Suzanne, Coloradolady, has afforded us the opportunity to be a part of a Secret Santa Soiree the past few years. It is so much fun and anticipation for the participates. However, it is a tremendous amount of work and time for Suzanne. I enjoy the SSS and appreciate her efforts.
I was not sure if my SS package would get here before Christmas with all the weather everyone was having. It is no secret what Santa can do. SHE was able to lift off and arrive safely at my house. I know who my SS is. My first clue was the location she mailed this card from, PA. Having read a lot of mystery books, I did my home work. Of all the participates, there was only one that lived in PA. That special lady is none other than DebbieM at "Designs by Debbie and Dixie Too. (http://debbiedixieblog.blogspot.com)
As you can see, she was very successful that day seeking my gifts. Debbie, I truly appreciate all the time and work that you did to make my SS gift such a wonderful package. Everything you selected is just perfect for me. You have been a wonderful SS. Thank you, thank you so much for you thoughtfulness and generosity.
Included was the lovely handmade, crochet scarf. What a nice surprise. It is very versatile in the way you can wear it. Anything that someone takes the time to personally make, takes on whole different meaning to me. It truly means a lot. I tried to put it on the way suggested, but not sure if I did it correctly. It is so warm and really feels good these cold days. Love it as I stay cold.
Four of the neatest bingo daubers. There are several us old seniors that gather to play once or twice a week. Win or lose, we have a good time and enjoy each others company. Wait till they see my new daubers! Never have seen any like them. Debbie, love them.
One of my most favorite candy ever. That is why I enjoy eating at the Olive Garden. They give you some of these after each meal.
I enjoy the benefits of a Keurig coffee maker. It is also great for tea or hot cocoa. Was down to just three cocoas when this box arrived. Perfect timing and another great choice.
No doubt Santa must have thought I had been a good senior as she included two nice candles. The large one is a elegant soy, gardenia and the small vanilla. Both are my favorite fragrances. Thank you again, Debbie for a super job shopping for a total stranger.
