It is a stormy day in Texas.  No doubt Susan, at http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com will have many interesting outdoor sights.

Perhaps next week we will see the sun a few minutes.  I am afraid I am going to mold over.

All the rain has definitely been wonderful for the flowers. 

Blue Monday

Eight Years of Pink Saturdays

Today our hostess, Beverly, is celebrating eight years of glorious pinks.  No doubt there will be many pretty things at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog
I have been sharing pinks with her since 2009.  It has been very pleasant and delightful spending Saturday's with Beverly and friends.

Beverly loves roses and has garden of many.  It makes a day nicer when you take time to stop and smell the roses.

                                                                                                     

After this grand rose tour with Beverly, it is time to share a piece of cake.

Some of you may remember about a year ago, I took a cutting, like the above, from my neighbor's gardenia bush. After a few days, the blooms dried up and fell off.  I thought the leaves were so pretty and green I kept them in the water.  To my surprise, it rooted.

These are my flowers from the little plant I rooted.  My friends and especially the neighbor just cannot believe this is from that tiny little leaf.

The sad part is that the neighbors has not bloomed this year.

 

Blue Monday

A tower in Arlington, Texas which joins Fort Worth, Texas where I live. At least, it has a tiny, blue star.
