Monday's with Layton

Welcome to the second addition of Mondays with Layton. Each week around him, is a learning experience for me.

He knows so much about things in their house and their functions. He pointed out all the fire alarms. Then, he provided a detail explanation as to how they work. Also, what you are supposed to do in the event they go off.

We decided to go outside for some activity. The garage doors have sensor lights that prevents you from closing inside and getting out. Naturally, I was the one in the garage. He was outside the door. Layton advised me he knew what to do. I did not know. He took me through each step till the doors worked.

After that, we took a trip round the subdivision. He rode his bicycle and I walked. Not sure of the distance. We had to make several pit stops. The following morning was Layton's school day. When he got out of bed, he could not stand. Called his parents for help. Told them his legs were "shaky". Riding that far on his bicycle, was just too much for his little muscles. We learned our lesson. Now, we only go half-way around. Regardless, we had a good time.

Until next time, count your blessings.

Layton needs to be on his bike more often. Those legs need more exercise. If grandma can do it (walking) he should be able to ride his bike that far.
Keep up the good work, Grandma.
