Pink Saturday Is Five

Back in 2008, a young lady named Beverly had an idea that she had to feature something of hers that was pink on Saturdays. The
following are some of her pinks before the official "Pink Saturday" was made available to all participates.

3-28-08
This is one of her very favorite figurines. She gives special characters around her house names. "Beatrice" was given the honor of becoming "Pink Saturday's" button.

 4-12-08
This little hinged box was a very special gift
from her husband

4-26-08
Even though this vase belonged to her maternal grandmother, it was obtained through an auction.

5-17-08
These are her very own slippers, which her husband felt she needed.  She has a very thoughtful mate.

5-31-08
These are a set of salt and pepper shakers
they received as a wedding gift.

She received a great response to her pink posts. "One Friday evening, I was racking my brain for an idea, and amazingly enough a little pink light bulb went off in my head". Pink Saturday was born May 31, 2008. She only had two participates on her first post. Pink Saturday has "grown" a lot since then. Each week the participates have increased considerably. You can attend her special five year celebration at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog.

I know you love roses just as I do.  This is one of my very favorite shots of my roses this year.

Congratulations Beverly, and thanks for letting us be a part of your "pink" life five years. It has been a pleasure being in you lovely home each Saturday.

Oh my, this is PERFECT, LV. Love all the history and details. Beverly deserves it. She's a great hostess and in my opinion Pink Saturday continues to be the best blog party in blogland because of her and because of her faithful guests such as yourself. This is a beautiful tribute. The slippers led me here. :)
Happy pinks!

What a lovely tribute to Beverly and her Pink Saturday. I used to participate in the past, closed my blogs and this month I decided to blog again.
I thank you very much for taking the time to visit me and to comment.
I am grabbing your button because I think you are a very special lady deserving to be known on the blogosphere.
You love roses like me. Do you have a rose garden ?

I wish you a lovely sunday.

I love this post on Beverly! Happy PS to you. I no longer do blog parties. I have been busy trying to get back on my feet and just don't have the time to sit around like I used to- thank, God! I am trying to move more and do more. Some days it actually works. Hope you are well and having a fun weekend!
