A Memorial Blue Monday

Smiling Sally
Bringing you a Memorial Day special for Blue Monday.

My feature today is of a National Cemetery in our area. This an awesome sight, especially during this holiday. You will find a lot more great blues at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com

On these walls are the names of all the lost loved ones.

If a cemetery could be called lovely, this would be it. An amazing picture of the plane formation, did you take it?

I just had a chat with my sister in Pueblo. She was sad because the cemetery where our folks and other loved ones are buried is a shambles. Critters digging whole right over graves, weeds, dead grass, a sad affair. I am at least happy the national cemeteries are well cared for. It is so sad corruption is evident even in death!
I use to be amazed, as a kid, at the rows of perfectly manicured graves with plain, simple headstones and the flags! Oh I love those flags!
Your photos are beautiful and this message is clear without our military, we would not be here.
I hope your day is beautiful and filled with good family moments.

When you live in a country that hasn't been to war for 200 years, it's so hard to understand the meaning of all the killing. All that sorrow. Terrible.
