Blue Monday Special

Smiling Sally

I can only go so long without showing off someone special to me on Blue Monday. Blue is his and Sally's very favorite color.  There will be many more very interesting blues found at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com.

He played most of the summer on the Haslet baseball team.  His little team did very well.  In fact were considered the "Elite" team.  Of course, he paid a price, but hung in and never missed a game in order to not let his team down.  He only got three black eyes.

The winners of the various teams got the chance to go to playoffs against  a "Select" team. These playoffs were held in the Dallas Cowboy Stadium.  It was the first time ever that had been permitted.  Everyone one was very excited about this. Each player and coach were given a tee shirt that stated first time. They set the field up just for their age groups (7-8). We were only permitted to use certain sections of the area. Never saw so many kids and parents.

Layton up to bat.

Making his run, but the ball was a foul.  Someone in the stands caught it and brought it to his mother to keep for him.  They had to use yellow balls in order to see them better. Sorry to say, his team lost to the "Select" team.

A photo of all his team and coaches.  Layton is on the second row to your right on the end. His dad is the coach on  the back row to your right on the end. It was a lifetime experience for all the teams and their parents.
