Blue Monday

I realize Mother's day is behind us, but I wanted to share part of mine. My gift is perfect for Blue Monday with http://smilingsally.blogspot.com.

This is a little travel kit for your nails our church gave all the mothers on that day.

How many of you have ever received a bottle of window cleaner? Well bless pat, my son and his wife gave this to me for my mother's day. It was a very big surprise but one I really needed. I appreciated it more than anything else they could have selected. You see, I have old,aluminum,double-paned storm windows. Just washing the outside and inside will not get the job done. To clean the between, the entire window has to be removed, cleaned and reinstalled. That is why they are not cleaned very often.

The man has been here and washed all my windows. I cannot even tell there is glass in the windows. They are so clean and clear. He even cleaned my bathroom mirror. The first time I looked into it, was not sure who I was. I had not seen myself so clearly. He might should have left the mirror dirty.

I also received beautiful flowers from my granddaughter and her family. The flowers may not not fit Blue Monday, but the touch of blue on the planter does.

Hi Meme. What a thoughtful gift. I know a lot of people who say if I get one more cooker, perfume bath product, etc... After a while you have everything you want except the energy to do some things you might like or need to do. What smart children you have.

Hugs...Tracy :)

What a wonderful blessing! Often times the practical gift is more appreciated than the sentimental. That's one chore you won't have to tackle this summer---and now you can see the summertime so much more clearly through your bright and clean windows! I also think it's neat that your church gave out a practical gift as well. While I love getting flowers (as our church usually does), the little travel kit will last a lot longer and be put to good use!

Have a wonderful Blue Monday!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! If you were closer I would so be bringing you a jar of jam.

What an awesome Mother's Day gift the window cleaner was. I could use him. I have 100 year old wavy glass windows with wood frames. Very hard to clean.
