Thief In The Night/Tuesday With MeMe

Most of you know that I love all flowers, especially roses.  I want to enjoy them now as it want manner when I am gone. Those of you that follow my blog remember a few days ago I shared my gorgeous roses with you. The old saying, here today and gone tomorrow, applies even to roses. Over night, all my roses disappeared. Someone had taken every bloom. Not even one small petal was left. What a shock that was! They definitely made a clean sweep.  You can tell the blooms were cut off very smoothly. Had several check and all agreed they had been cut.

Bear in mind, I have a motion light on my garage doors, leave my porch light on, up several times at night and check out the front.  Not sure what I would have done if I had seen it.  Probably best I did not. Whatever reason this happened, trust it was for a good cause and not someone just being destructive.

How terrible. That is just outrageous.

I know many years ago a friend of mine her daughter had same thing happen. And she lived in the city and the houses so close together neighbors but she was totally shocked also when she woke up.

The roses cleaned off and cut also. Such a sin. I am so sorry for you. Roses take such T. L.Care to keep them so beautiful as you had them.

How can anyone even have them in a vases or if it is in destructive attitude or whoever . To even live with the thought they did it. Must be someone with not any moral values of other peoples property.

Will they grow back or that is it? No more growth.

Sure it wasn't deer? We live in the city and in a neighborhood with sidewalks and all...no forest near. One night I looked out my window to see 4 deer chopping away on the roses and tulips. If it was a person....they are sure mean.

Oh my word LV, I just can't believe anyone could be so mean. I too hope there must have been a good reason to do this. I'm so sorry dear.

Love, Jeanne

Oh NO! This was just mean! Since they did not take he stems, seems they were not even going to keep them. Wonder if it was teenagers out for mischief?

It truly may have been deer - I live in suburbia and deer eat all my flowers all the time - and they bit them clean off as though they were cut.

I have as motion light right on the garden, too and it never seems to bother them one bit.

I am so sorry and disappointed for you.

That doesn't make any sense at all. I'm sure if they had asked, you would have given them the roses. The world is crazy!

Hi La Voice,

Ooo, I'd be so VERY mad! We have deer too, but deer don't eat every bloom and every petal.

I had a child come pick off my pretty blooms one day, but she didn't know any better. However, she didn't clean me out like this.

Nope, it was a nasty, selfish person who did this. Pray for him/her. I wouldn't want to be that one!

Oh My!!! I am so sorry.:(
I live in a condo, and neighborhood kids here are notorious for picking flowers that owners have spent so much time and money on planting.
Children not being taught respect for other peoples' property.
Ok - will step down off my podium.:(
