Going to share something very special to me this week, and it is pink. Sometime ago, Coloradolady had a feature on her blog for seniors called "One Fine Blessing". You submitted the name and address of seniors celebrating a birthday, send a card and enclose a dollar if you liked. I participated in this cause. It is not been active for awhile now.
One of the sweet ladies remembered me sending her a card and that we were the same age by a few months. One day this week, I received the following card from her with a nice message and a dollar. After all this time, she never forgot me. It really touched me.

Goodness, this is a VERY sweet lady! And I would love the cake server, can you imagine getting it out for company to serve cake? What a show stopper and conversation piece!

My mother always said that the good you do comes back double and triple...guess it's true about birthday cards too! Isn't that just the happiest surprise ever? What are you going to buy with the dollar? I'd buy two more cards at the dollar store! Have a Pink Week!

This is soooo sweet, LV.
The main reason for blogging, for me, is the blessing of getting to know such lovely people. Blogging is such a wonderful way for us to be in touch with people that really seem to care. Being right in the middle of such fine folks makes ME a better person.

I wish someone who pick the Senior Blessing meme up again! I know Suzanne is so busy too! But my phamily enjoyed sending cards and I filled my birthday box with many,many cards. If you know anyone needing a birthday greeting let me know. I will pass it on and send one on my way.
