Vintage Bedding

It is another great day to spend with Coloradolady and her Vintage Thingies Take time and visit her http://coloradolady.blogspot.com. and see what her friends have to share.
Thia is one of my many vintage quilts. I have had it so long I cannot recall where I go it.

These are two pillow cases I had the opportunity to get from my sister-in-law's estate. I have no idea why she selected these days for them. The cotton fabric she used is so soft.

Thanks for visiting! I agree that they are difficult, but my sister has had hers for years! I don't know what her secret is.

Oh, I love the quilt! I used to make them when my girls where small for their cribs and even bassinet! Yours is gorgeous, I don't have great skills, I wish I could learn, though. Have a nice weekend and thank you for your visit and lovely comment!

I forgot to acknowlege that your sister likes elephants and tea sets. Well, even though I bought it, a long time ago, here, where I live, I'm sure they sell them at a china town and for sure in the NYCity one and it was not expensive at all, I remember that much!
Lots of hugs.

Hi LV! What a wonderful quilt and I love those pillowcases. Ya know my Mother-n-Law has pillowscases with the days on em....she says they went on each childs (9) bed when they were little...it represented the day they were born. An Aunt did them as swhower gifts every time.

Hello LV!
It's so nice to 'meet' you. Thanks for stopping by to see my flea market find...I really scored there didn't I. I used to have all my Aunt's and Grandmother's linens but when moving to the US from Canada I couldn't bring everything with me. My son and his wife now have the honor of keeping them safe. I love your old quilt...funny how we get attached to certain things like that isn't it. I like to think of all the favorite worn dresses and other bits of clothing that went into pieces like your quilt. I have a set of 'day of the week tea towels' that a neighbor gave me years ago...I'll have to do a post on them one day. Thanks for sharing your special things with us! Have a wonderful day and please be safe.
Maura :)
