Vintage Thingie Thursday

Coloradolady welcomes you to another super Vintage Thingies Thursday. The best place to view great vintage items is to visit http://coloradolady.blogspot.com.
I have no idea where my mother got this pretty little container. We never had fancy table settings as folks do today. She had this on our table for each meal. She used it as a spoon holder. It is one of the oldest things that we fortunately kept.

That is a pretty crock. Wonder what it was used for originally? Cheese or butter maybe. Whatever it was it's great that you still have it.

THis is sure pretty.Wouldn't it have been great if things were written down,so one would know where it came from.I have a few pieces that have an unknown history, and I wish I knew more about them.

what a little gem..i love the blue pattern & those sweet little legs make it very unique indeed. i wonder if it ever had a lid, if so it may have originally been a jam or pickle pot?

Such a lovely jar, do you use it daily? It would be pretty with teaspoons.
