Recipe Pink Saturday

Today is recipe Pink Saturday at Beverly's http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog. This is the place to be for all you great cooks in blog land.

Any of the recipes will turn out better when prepared in a pink kitchen using

this great pink mixer and

pink measuring spoons.
{All pink kitchen images from Internet}

I am sure my featured lady(Chris) would know how to use these things as she lives on a farm. She has a lovely home that was built in 1920. She has a picture of her cottage on her blog. It has come a long way since 1920. "Red Gate Farm" is her blog and one you will enjoy. You can reach her at http://redgatefarmcuster.blogspot.com.

I live in an original 1950's house with metal cabinets in the kitchen. I would not be surprised if they were pink under many coats of paint:@)

I must admit that I have looked at and coveted pink mixers and measuring spoons, but I've never seen cabinets like those before. Hope you have a wonderful Pink Saturday!

Gosh---for people who love pink, that kitchen would be 'to die for'.... ME? I'm not a pink person---so I'll just let others enjoy the pink kitchen, the pink mixer, and the pink measuring spoons...

BUT--that recipe looks delicious. Thanks!!!

Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy

This kitchen is for television. I won't dare to use it in case I mess it up.

I imagine Julia Child cooking in it.

Well, cooking in that pink kitchen would guarantee everything would turn out like a chef cooked it, wouldn't you say? I'm not into retro but I sure love the colour! Happy Pink Saturday, sweet lady!

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi LV, happy PINK Saturday! LOL, growing up one of my best friends was lucky enough to live in a house with a PINK kitchen. This was in the 70's and of course was outdated. All of our mom's thought it was hideous, as they were all doing their kitchens in the harvest gold, Avacodo and burnt orange theme but I thought the PINK was the most perfect color for a kitchen! Have a wonderful weekend, Nan

Oh I want a pink kitchen! Someone said to me recently that they live in a house with an old pink bathroom - you know, pink sink, tub, toilet. They remodeled it! What? You did what?!!! Jeez, some people, ha!

Hugs,
Jacalyn

As a lover of all things MCM, that pink kitchen is spectacular to me! In our Florida neighborhood we would see pink appliances by the street for pick up as people remodeled. Oh, my! Should have snagged them then.

Happy Pink Saturday!

look at that kitchen! I love the pink mixers! They just look like they'd make everything yummier. For some reason I loved that you photographed the recipe instead of typing it.

Fun pinks! I want to try out your Apricot salad :o)

Has it been that long? or is it my memory? I love the pink painted background of your blog. Have you had it like this for a while?

Blessings & Aloha!
(Oh! I have to find the copy sample of your order, so I can post it on my blog. Would it be ok to post it or should I wait until after Christmas?)
