Sometimes on Blue Monday you need to have a little fun.
Today's post is not my usual style, but no offense intended.
When you go to http://smilingsally.blogspot.com
there will definitely be lovelier sights.
Not the usual place for these, but they were sitting along the road.
Back in the olden days, this was all you had.
Even an artist saw beauty in them.

Thats is the convenience my parents had when they first married. The little building sat well back from the house - and since we all came along after indoor plumbing we thought it was a hoot. When my parents built a cottage we had 'outdoor' plumbing again - a biffy. Brings back memories.

I would like to finish this comment, but I really have to run to the potty now...

Very funny Blue post. Your like me I usually post a little themed Blue. Come by and see mine today. It is a little prettier. LOL.
Have a wonderful week,
Sherry
I enjoyed your going to pot Blue Monday. Thanks for the smiles.
I remember theese little houses in the backya5rd in my grandparents garden.
That blue porta John is very eye catching.
Well that Johnny On The Spot is a bright blue. We had outdoor plumbing all the time we had a cabin at the lake while I was growing up. My grandma had an out house in the 60's.

I remember going to my Great Grandma's house in IL. and she had
an outhouse. It was scary..hehehe
Haha! I love it! :)
Makes me so thankful for indoor plumming. Fun shots LV
How creative of you! My grandparents too, had an outhouse...a two holer! It was complete with Sears/Montgomery Ward catalogs! I must say, my grandpa kept it VERY clean...unlike some I remember! They did have an indoor bathtub and sink and the "grey" water was piped to the pasture! thanks for the memories! dix---
Thanks for the giggles today!! I love your 'themed' post. Thank you so much for stopping by my place and saying hello.
I remember the first time I used an outdoor potty... I was in church camp (about age 8) --and that's all they had. The older boys told us that there were snakes in the potty ---so I hated to even go in there... ha ha
Hugs,
Betsy
The first one reminds me of the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the commodes outdoor reminds me of the film The Help :) Enjoyed your post.
Wonderful compilation.
Thank you for a lovely laugh! Excellent blog post!
You are TOO funny with these port a potties! The old one is a cutie though! Praise the Lord, we still don't have to use these on a daily basis.

Hi LV, this is a late comment but your blue post is a cute one. I remember outhouses on our farm in MI. We had one that wasn't used anymore. When I was small I came up missing and after many people searched for me, they found me behind the outhouse door...sleeping. I was three. A true story. HA!
Love, Jeanne
*LOL* At the Ma and Pa outhouses! I always like the ones with the moon cut out window.
