Going back in times to the movies on Coloradolady's Vintage Thingies Thursday. I have not been to a movie in so long, I probably would not know how to act. They just do not make them like these anymore. I recall each of the ones being featured today. Additional great vintage things can be found at http://coloradolady.blogspot.com

Vintage Day At The Movies

WOW. I haven't seen a single one of those - but did a synchronized swimming routine to "Singing in the Rain" years ago, so I know the SONG well.
Will have to look these up and watch them. I haven't ever seen Casablanca either and I told I am probably the only one who hasn't. They were playing it on the cruise we just took but not at a time I was free to watch it.
Oh my gosh LV -- these are some of my favorites! (and I don't just mean the popcorn ;>).....African Queen and Singing in the Rain really are two of my very favorites. And I wouldn't have thought of Pillow Talk, but I actually remember it, so there you go. Thanks...this was really really fun.
The African Queen is still on my list to see. I just love old movies.
Hey Meme,
Showing my age...I have seen everyone of these! Good times! Thanks for stopping by my Blog, you're entered in the Giveaway!
8-)
I may be one of the few who saw ALL of these at an actual theater. And I still think Charlie Allnut is the greatest movie Hero of all time. What he did for Love.
I love classic films. "Pillow Talk" is my favorite of the ones you'v listed. Though I do know all the words to the "Good Morning" song in "Singing in the Rain" :)
Now I want to snuggle up and watch old movies.
I agree with you...I like the older movies...is that because we are getting (heaven forfend) older???
Oh well...Happy VTT!

OOOO, I loved all these movies, too.
The African Queen was PRICELESS...:)
I hope you come over to see my PINK post today (Thurs.) because it's MY MAIN MAN...Mr. Depp...:)
What a great selection of movie posters! I remember each one of those :)
Bogart and Hepburn.....just wonderful!
Happy VTT!
Wonderful moves, all of them. Though I do love Pillow Talk. I am a Doris Day fan! :)
