Today is Pink Saturday with Beverly and friends. She would love having you drop by http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog. She is entertaining us with a Cancer Awareness gathering.
A few days ago our local newspaper, the Star-Telegram, suggested if you or someone you knew was a cancer survivor, submit your story. This was a special feature that they printed with several pages. There were so many touching stories.
Pink has always been a good color, but the month of October you can find it everywhere .
Last but not least, I am leaving each one that has had any experience with this terrible thing, a beautiful pink rose.

Hello LV,
Yes, there are many touching and brave stories involving this horrible disease. I pray we find a cure and soon!

I'm featuring my sis Katie today who just had a mascectomy a few months ago. She is doing really good. I like the paper, did they really color the pages pink? Love the shirt.

Awwww LV, the pink rose is inspiring. My sister and her daughter both are breast cancer survivors. It is so scary because it runs in our family. Your post is so sweet.
Don't forget to get your mammogram. Go Pink for Cancer.
Hugs, Jeanne
Happy Pink Saturday LaVoice, Thanks for your visit and comment. I didn't think about the time change in November when I posted my watch ring. Thanks for the reminder. I too do not like when we spring ahead and fall back. Joyous Wishes, Linda

It's always good to see your new post pop up. I, too, shared a pink rose on PS today---probably the last one we'll see standing this year, for the leaves and damp and cold have sent them all to await Spring.

What a beautiful Pink Rose, LV. Isn't it amazing how so many people have come forward to share their stories? It's been such a PINK Filled year and month of October with so many organizations and individuals supporting Breast Cancer Awareness as well as all cancers. It's made such a difference in the Fight For A Cure!!!! Happy Pink Saturday!
Dear sweet LV,
How do you manage to always visit us all?? I swear, no matter how many weeks go by that I haven't posted, you always see when I do and leave me a lovely comment! You are a gem LV. Thank you for that my friend :) and than you for the lovely rose!
Sparkly hugs,
Tobi and the pixies
"Pink is the new black" is really cool!
A lovely post LV! We all know so many who have dealt with this...I'm glad I scrolled backwards to see this post as I'd missed it earlier.
Your share is beautiful and very thoughtful. I lost my favorite aunt to this dreaded disease. Your tribute is lovely.
