Missed last weeks REDnesday. I am sure there were plenty of pretty reds shown at http://suelovescherries.blogspot.com Sue is a great hostess and never disappoints us with her performance.
This looks like an over-sized checker board. It was hard to believe someone took so much time and work to make this. Yes, it is a quilt.
Another quilt, but covered in red birds.

I would never have enough patience to make that checkerboard quilt. It is very unique though.

It amazes me that folks actually have the time and patience to make quilts. Love them though. Happy Rednesday LV!
Love your reds LV, quilts are one of my favorite things.
Happy Rednesday!
Oh My Heart.... I WANT that bird quilt.... AWESOME... Thanks for sharing.

I'm amazed at the work it took to make the checkerboard quilt, but I think I like the other better.
Usually patch work quilts are made from whatever is on hand. but, I do not see that being the case here. Whoever made it must have wanted it to be those colors.
I would be more work than I would ever care to do.
When we were little my brother was into racers. Speed racer and race tracks spreading through the livingroom with hotwheels. This looks like something that would have been placed in his bedroom back in the 1960's. Adore it!
I admire anyone that is a quilter. I tried a couple of times, but made myself quit because they turned out so awful!
Happy REDnesday,
Carol
The redbird quilt makes me happy!

Quilts are lovely but a lot of work. But it is probably great fun to do. Thanks for sharing!
The quilts are so lovely! I would not have that kind of patience to put that checkerboard one together! Very charming!
