Traveling West VTT

Be sure to drop by and say hello to Coloradolady at http://coloradolady.blogspot.com. You will find some of the best vintages items ever. Her button will take you to the right place.

These two cowpokes are all tuckered out from traveling  to West Texas in this covered wagon.

Along the way this is a sight they encountered. Colorado Territory was just too much for this wagon.

hahhhaaa...this is so cute...and so funny.
Yes, when summer hit here, it came on strong, too. 106 here today and I have no energy when it's that hot.
My daughter and her girls are in Dallas this week and she said it was 111 one day.
You better just stay inside...that kind of heat is really hurtful to us olden people. :(

Love the two cowboys in front of the store! And good for you for blogging--I know way too many people about your age that are just plain scared to get around a computer, but I wish they would because they would have fun, like you! Have a great week.

Cute post, LV... Reminds me of some of the old western movies I used to go to when I was a little girl. People did have trouble while heading west on those wagons for sure.
Hugs,
Betsy

How'd you get those cowboys to agree to sit still that long - cowboys are cantankerous! Good post.

Gosh, can you imagine what'd be like to ride in that wagon?! Bounced and banged around and little cover from the elements ... up hill and down, across the country. So amazing and hard for us to comprehend these days.

Happy VTT!

whew! It has been hot and humid today...thank goodness for air conditioned cars. ...but I find myself thinking about how it would have been to traveling in a covered wagon...especially across the mountainous terrain or the vast open deserts!

Great photos!
Blessings & Aloha!
