VINTAGE THINGIES THURSDAY

Colordolady and her vintage friends are back with many interesting things to share. If you do not believe me, see for yourself at http://coloradolady.blogspot.com.

I spotted this old vintage stove and lids in of all places a shoe store.

Do not let time run out, sign up today to be Secret Santa. I have done this before, and it was a lot of fun

Your Vintage Thingie this week is so interesting. I can't imagine cooking on a stove like that and am very grateful for modern appliances! Thanks for sharing a bit of our history today.

Was lovely to come and visit and see your post.
The pot belly stove is lovely, my sister has one that she warms her house with.

Happy Thursday

I can almost feel the warmth from your picture of the old cast iron stove. We are headed for our first freeze of the season tonight, so some warmth will be needed by morning. Happy vintage Thursday, LV!

Hi there. I love that old stove as well. Bet it could tell a few tales! I don't know how long things would have taken to actually cook on there though!

What a creative and cool display...repurposing of something others might label as junk. A great recycling idea!

Wow, that stove brings back memories. My dad use to put the blanket on top to get it warm, and then wrap it around me and send me to bed.

Thanks for stopping by Aprons and Old Lace. I love, love, love that cast iron stove...I want one. :) That has to be one great shoe store to decorate with vintage thingies. ;) I love to see vintage items used as decor or just simply used. I think it's great that you never had to have your wisdom teeth removed...spared from the ache. :) I think my teeth are too big for my mouth. LOL :) Have a great weekend.

Oh, that brings back many a memory at G'ma Maggie's. How we would huddle round that old pot belly.

Have a beautiful weekend ~

A shoe store is the last place I would expect to find a pot-bellied stove, but it sure looks good.

That was quite an unusual find in a shoe store. It makes quite an impression for the shoppers, and hopefully brings them in to shop again.

In a shoe store? What kind of shoes did they sell there? ;)
