Pink Saturday

Thank goodness for another Pink Saturday with Beverly at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog. This means I have survived another week of intense heat. I would like to apologize to all those that visited me last Pink Saturday. My AC went out. During the process of installing a new one, the power was off. No computer. I do appreciate you taking the time to comment and will do better this week.
I am sitting back, smelling the roses, and staying cool.
I am sure there are plenty little ones out there that would enjoy having this pink tractor. I spotted it at an antique mall.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

I had a very nice visit with Cathy at "Stitchfork Designs" this week. She is a master at monograms and embroidery, which are two of my favorite things. You will be delighted and pleased with the quality of work she does. Take a minute and say hello at http://stitchforkdesigns.blogspot.com.

Beautiful rose! I love that shape and shade of pink.'It has been such a hot summer, hasn't it? The humidity is what really bothers me. Stay cool! Happy Pink Saturday!

Happy Pink Saturday
I cannot imagine what it must be like to live in such temperatures. Here in Scotland when it is 21 degrees we say that is too hot for us.
Take care in the heat.

LV, you have done it...got me to thinking PINK. Searching through the house, I realized that pink is a rarity; mostly earth tones around here. Pink is a lovely color and you always showcase it well!

Hi LV,
I know it must have been hard on your with no air. I don't know how they did it back in the day, esp. here in the desert. I have seen where the natives used to wet sheets and hang them in the trees, probably waiting and praying for a gentle breeze. The problem would be keeping the sheets wet. I would think they would have dried in seconds with this heat! :)
My grand daughters would love that tractor, but then they would want to know why they have to petal and not just drive....HA, kids have it made today, don't they?
Happy Pink Saturday, Char

Your pink rose is gorgeous. While most of the tractors I have worked with have been John Deere green, this pink tractor looks like it would be fun for a young farmer.

It’s been hot here and it is STILL hot...and we are in a 110 year old farm house WITHOUT AC. It is tough. I have neglected this blog this summer because I have been working on my photography all the time. I am trying to get back here. Sorry I have been missing you. I think that pink tractor is about the cutest thing ever. Genie

I'm so happy you have a new AC to get you through this summer's heat.
Soon it will be fall and we can turn off our ACs and open the windows again.
:-)
I remember tractors like the one you found at the antique mall. (When I was just a tot) there was a child that lived down the street from my grandparents who had one. His was the triditional red, and I had a secret envy of it.

Stay cool and have a pinkishly beautiful weekend.

Oh my, I'm so sorry to hear about the a/c and glad you have a new one. It's definitely HOT here too so you have my total sympathy. And wouldn't my grandchildren LOVE that cute pink tractor. Tho I love the gorgeous pink rose the most. My senior mom and I are not faring so well with gardening this year. A few things, and some lovely gifts from neighbors, but the weather and health are definitely taking their toll! So I doubly appreciate enjoying your sweet rose.
