Vintage Dust Catchers No. 2

Vintage Thingies Thursday with Coloradolady http://coloradolady.blogspot.com has returned in all its glory. After a little reprieve from the blog world, Coloradolady is back in full force. She was with us last week for a special post honoring our great friend. However. today is back to the basic vintage finds.

This is my last post on my vintage bird figurines. All of these were bought in the 1960-70 time frame. The ones featured today are in nesting in this built in book case. This book case is vintage as well. My house was built new in 1964 and it has not been changed.

As you an see, this is a Limited Edition Blue Jay. These are the markings on the bottom.

I noticed they all have flowers except for the pelican. They made me think of state birds and flowers, though I don't know whether that is what your birds represent.

LV,

I just finished the most wonderful book about a ninety year old lady that loved birds all kinds. She spent her life taking care of them all year long from hummingbirds, to the birds she met on her morning walks.

I love this collection you have and the mockingbird is my all time favorite! I love to hear his unique calls.

Love and Hugs ~ Kat

What a great collection, LV - I adore birds, and enjoy watching them out my window. There are so many different birds in the world, if I collected them, I'd not have enough room in my house!!!

What a lovely collection! Now I need to take a closer look at some of the "dust catchers" I inherited from my aunt.

I love the birds. I have two and I cherish them. I have a cardinal and a bluebird. My mom is 82. You both are beautiful. I'm 62 and I try to take care of myself so I will look like Mama when I get her age. You have a lovely blog. Doylene
