Blue Monday

Good morning Sally and Blue Monday friends.  Starting later today, it will not be a good day.  Very cold front moving in with possible freezing. No doubt at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com you will find many warm blues.
These are two oil paintings that a local artist did for me several years ago.  Have several pieces of her work in oils and water color.  I treasure them as she has since passed away.  These were painted of sights she saw in hill country. For those of you not from Texas, that is in the southern part of Texas.

I love love love this! There is an old song by Nanci Griffith called Gulf Coast Highway. It is about a young couple who live in an old house by the road and their yard is full of bluebonnets. They only grow in Texas. And this looks just like that house and yard! They are SO beautiful!!!

Those are wonderful paintings! That first one reminds me of how my gramma's abandoned house looked the last time I saw it many years ago. It looks so similar and hers was in the mountains for Pennsylvania.

Thanks for sharing these-I am almost BLUE with the cold here. xo Diana

Those are wonderful and love the blues and browns together. Very talented painter! Hope you have a good day. Its snowing sideways here and just starting to stick. I thought this one was supposed to miss us, but guess things changed through the night. Its grab a blankie and hang on the couch kind of day here. Stay warm!

Morning La Voice,

How fortunate you are to have these two beauties to look at whenever you wish. Thanks.

I'm riding a roller coaster: up one day, down the next.

Happy Blue Monday!
