Day To Remember On Pink Saturday

Today on Pink Saturday, we are celebrating an achievement for me that has been a struggle at times. However, the blessings and pleasures have been worth it all. My three years at blogging fell on Beverly's Pink Saturday, combining the two. Since pinks are scarce on my post, go to http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog for some of the best.

APRIL 28, 2009 to APRIL 28, 2012

On April 28, 2009, I was introduced to Mr.Blog by Coloradolady. Blog and I courted awhile trying to learn more about each other. We decided we could make it work and got hitched. It has been frustrating with a lot of mistakes, ups and downs along the way. In spite of it all, today we are celebrating our three year anniversary. There have been times I wanted to run Blog off when he makes changes or updates things without telling me. Even though our three years have not been perfect, the good out weighs the bad.

We had 649 friends following along with us until Blog acted up again and we lost some of them. Blog said he did not do it. It was Google that took away our followers. I am not sure who the culprit was, but I was not happy about it.

We have manged to share 810 highlights from our life. During the three years, we have had 50,781 visitors from all over the world.

The very best thing that has come from our relationship, is the meeting and getting to know so many great people. I never realized how quickly you can reach someone completely across the world in just the touch of a button. It has been an amazing experience for me. You have all blessed me tremendously over these three years with all your support. I am at a loss to the right words to show my appreciation to all my blogging friends. I am excited to see what the next few years will bring. Thanks to all of you for helping me and Blog stick it out.

I am sorry to say, after Blog's latest stunt, a divorce is possible in the future. In fact, this will be the last post for a few days or FOREVER. Blog is forcing the change or else. If I fail in this endeavor(and I will without help), then my blogging days are over. In case that happens, I want you all to know blogging has been such a joy for me and making so many great friends. Blogging put a new lease on life far me, kept my mind active and learned so much. It is very hard far old dog to learn new tricks. Thanks to all of you far making my life so much better during these three years.

Congratulations on turning 3! I turned 3 on the 9th. I do not like change the blogger recently made but after you play around with the new system you will find it to be user friendly. I told myself that I wouldn't get mad, to accept it and move forward.

Dear LV,
You have given us all so much pleasure through your blogging and I hope you can work through your blog troubles! Blogger has been a thorn in my side too, many times. Right now, I have my son giving me a hand.
Your pink rose is gorgeous and I thoroughly enjoy your sense of humour. Bless you, dear lady! Happy Pink Saturday.

Blessings,

CONGRATULATIONS LV - and don't give up. You can do it - feel free to holler for help and I'll do my best. And I'm sure there are plenty of others who are even more skilled with Blogger who feel the same. You can do it! :) Blessings.

Happy 3rd Anniversay! Please don't leave us! I know how awful this new set up is. I am still struggling with it. It is a horrible mess and I think the person responsible must be part idiot....Why, when something is working, someone wants to change it is beyond me! I think corporate does not have enough work for their people and so they invent work...lol!
Anyway, I hope you do not get that divorce as you would be sadly missed!
HPS!

Wonderful post!

Blogger and I went through a divorce in Sept 2010. Typepad and I have been happily in in a relationship since then. Of course, as in all relationships, Typepad has it's quirks and drives me up a wall now and then...Typepad probably feels the same way about me.LOL

That pink rose is gorgeous.

Happy 3rd Blog anniversary!! Between computer hic-ups , google and blogger (which is now owned by google) things can be very heated ... but once you figure out where things have been moved to ... it does get better. Praying that someone is near you that can give a helping hand ... and get you and Blogger on the right path!! I may not always comment .. but visit often and your posts bring a wonderful smile to my day .. and I'm certain the day of many, many others... Hugs, HHL

Hey LV, Happy 3 year blogiversary...I do hope you don't stop blogging as it is always a pleasure to read your blogs and well, you have so much to offer!

P.S. Are you talking about the problems with photos? I just updated my site at Blogspot and had a ton. I did find a couple of work arounds - but probably time will be the best healer. Or switching to Typepad or WordPress, tho as Pat wisely pointed out, they all have their issues. It's sad, because of the three, Blogspot used to be the easiest. Hopefully that will come back soon. :) Hang in there. :)

Oh LV...You have really inspired me. Being brand new to blogging, this new interface is all that I know. Well...they gave me a few weeks with the old one, and then pulled it out from under my feet! That's right about when I met you. And you were so supportive and kind! It made me not want to toss the whole idea of blogging into the trash!
I understand if you feel you've reached the end of your journey with blogging, but I sure hope you'll reconsider.
You are a darling, and would be so missed!
Love, Erica

Happy Anniversary Mimi. I've only been blogging for 3 months and I don't know any other way than the new way. I hope you don't quit because I'm just now getting to know you. All of these sites are changing for the worse. I've had an account with Photobucket for 6 years and it was so easy to learn (once I learned) but now it is so messed up no one can make since of it. Hope you have a nice weekend.

You can't give up now, LV....you have us all lovin' you too much and we'd miss you terribly. Besides all that, what will you do to fill the time if you don't blog?

When I first looked at the new interface, I just about died. I thought, I can'[t do this....but then, I started playing around with it a little and, guess what...?...it's not half as hard to understand as I first thought.
If you play with it a little...and ask for help on ANYthing you don't understand, you can do it. I will help in all ways possible and when I don't know, I can find the answer for you.
HANG IN THERE...it's not nearly as bad as you think. It's just a little scary because of the unknown.

I have been trying to work with a new template which is totally different from the way I had been designing my own. It is uphill work starting over with a new design - so far so good. You, evidently, have had other difficulties. What a shame. I started about a year before you did and have learned a lot. I still think it is a learning process and will stay with blogspot while it is apparently trying to improve the system for us with the innovations of google. While I sympathize with your
position, change is aggravating in something like this, I hope you will stick it out for a while longer. Love the rose, by the way! Margaret

Oh, LV, the blog world will miss you so much if you leave. Congratulations on three years of blogging. I will be blogging 4 years in May. The time went s fast. I know blogger made a lot of changes that made many bloggers unhappy. I use typepad and it is a good site. However it is costly.

Blogging opened up a whole new world for me as well. Making dear friends through blogging has been wonderful. Who knew. No matter what you decide you will be a dear friend always. Maybe you can just slow down and not blog so much. I have done that this past year. I have blogging friends that just do Pink Saturday. Think about it.

I will stay in touch LV even if it isn't often. I have had to visit less because life is just too busy sometimes.

Blessings and love to you my sweet friend,

I enjoy your posts. I hope you and Blog can work it out. Blogger is upgrading several things. Since we're used to everything working smoothly most of the time those trouble times seem awful but usually, they pass with a little patience. It's complicated how a LARGE network like blogger has to upgrade. My hubby the computer tech understands it better than I and reminds me that it's just a phase. Hang in there!!!!
