Cleopatra Pecked Me

Recently Monica, ClassyChassy, celebrated her one year blog anniversary. As a result of that occasion, she had a surprise giveaway. If you wanted to enter, she suggested you start your comment off with Chick Chick. That one thing really caught my eye.

Back in July of 1949 a lady and I went to work the same day for the telephone company. During this time, she said I was so small and thin, I reminded her of a little chicken. Therefore, my name from that day forward has been Chick Chick. We have remained the very best of friends all these years. Right today, she still calls me Chick Chick.

When it came time to pick a winner, Cleopatra was given the honors. She pecked and pecked around until she found my name.

Blue Monday Special

Today's Blue Monday with Smiling Sally is very special for me.

In April 2009,without my knowledge, a blog was created for me. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would publish 200 post. I am happy to report this Blue Monday is it.

I have had my struggles along the way and still do. I wish I knew more about this blogging business. Thanks to all of you that have been so supportive, helpful and interested in my blog. I could not have made it without you. I am a people person, and feel I have made some wonderful new friends as a result of my blog. I enjoy all the blogs I can visit and learn so much about people I never would have known before. Thank you Coloradolady for making it possible to have worldwide friends.

Pink Saturday

Pink Saturday will be a little different today. Beverly at How Sweet the Sound has asked that we share some of Valentine love notes.






At this stage of my life, I do not receive big guy valentines anymore. Now the love of my life is a precious five year old. This is a card he made for me last year. How sweet is that!
