Cleopatra Pecked Me

Recently Monica, ClassyChassy, celebrated her one year blog anniversary. As a result of that occasion, she had a surprise giveaway. If you wanted to enter, she suggested you start your comment off with Chick Chick. That one thing really caught my eye.

Back in July of 1949 a lady and I went to work the same day for the telephone company. During this time, she said I was so small and thin, I reminded her of a little chicken. Therefore, my name from that day forward has been Chick Chick. We have remained the very best of friends all these years. Right today, she still calls me Chick Chick.

When it came time to pick a winner, Cleopatra was given the honors. She pecked and pecked around until she found my name.

This is the nice note that was along with my surprise gift.

This is the neat little chicken pin that Monica made. As she states, those are real feathers on it from Cleopatra. How clever is that.

This is another shot of Cleopatra in the upper right hand corner. She is informing her friends of the name she picked.

Two other views of the pin at a different angle and to show the back of it.

Thank you so much Monica for my little Chick Chick Pin. If you have not visited her blog, you should do so. She is very talented and creative. You can find her at http://corgie-express.blogspot.com.

I have purchased 4 bags from Monica - a bag for my nurse friend with a nurse on it, one for my daughter - a teacher with a teacher on it, one for my grandson with Choi Kwang Do on it - she specialized his, and one for me - Chatty Crone - it was fabulous. So you are VERY lucky to have recieved that. It is so nice - glad you won. Lucky chick chick.

Well, with a history like that Cleopatra had no choice. Had she pecked anyone else, she would have been in de Nile.

I'm sure she is proud that she worked her tailfeathers off to help make your prize.
