If you recall, several years ago polio was one of the terrible things that affected so many. However, it appears someone had the ingenuity to try to help those dealing with it. I saw this in an antique mall. I would not have known what it was if they had not had the information attached.
One great thing about getting older, your old meaningless stuff is now "retro" and worth a lot of money.

It's like a rowing machine, isn't it? So hard to think of little children not being able to walk because of this dreadful disease. So glad they have a vaccine for it now.
My sister-in-law Joyce had polio and a boy I went to school with too. I can still taste the sugar cubes they gave us at school to avoid polio!
