Jodie Thomas Tuesday With MeMe
I managed to find the entire series(6) in time for my daughter-in-laws birthday last year. The new book, Promise Me Texas, in this series will be out the middle of November. A few weeks ago, Jodie Thomas was appearing here at Barnes & Noble. I was fortunate enough to personally meet this lovely lady. She is so pleasant and gracious.
Jodie Thomas is a New York Times and USA Today best selling author. With a degree in Family Studies, Mrs. Thomas is a marriage and family counselor by education, a background that enables her to write about family dynamics. Honored in 2002 as a Distinguished Alumni in Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She enjoys interacting with students on the West Texas A&M University campus where she currently serves as Writer in Residence. When she is not working on a novel, she enjoys traveling with her husband.
If you have not read any of her novels, you are really missing out. I bought two different books at the signing that were not in a series. They are great and ones you do not want to put down. You can find her and keep up with her latest work at www.jodithomas.com
I did not post this for any compensation. Just wanted to make you aware of this great writer. I highly recommend her.

Flying Blue Monday
Sharing a part of my recent flying with Sally and her Blue Monday friends. For some of the best blues ever, go to http://smilingsally.blogspot.com

It is a headache to get to the airport from my house. When I fly, I give myself plenty of time to get there and go through security. I had much rather wait at the airport than be stressed out in traffic. On this day, when I left home, it was raining which made things worse. However, before departure time, it cleared up and the sun was shining when we took off. I flew on one of the newer planes, AIRBUS A319. It had the smaller seats and only seated eight in first class. Seats in coach(where I sat) are three on each side. It was a nice flight, but upon arrival, pouring down rain and rained all that day. However, the rest of my stay, the sun came through bright and clear.
The return flight was not as pleasant as the going. The plane was delayed for over an hour for mechanical problems. I had scheduled the return flight where I would get back home before dark. As a result of this delay, the time changing, it was dark, so much road construction and raining at DFW, I was very stressed. I cannot see very well at night to drive and very seldom do so. The lights blind me and with the construction, you do not know where to go or get off the freeway. Needless to day, I enjoyed the trip, but there is no place like home.
