Pink Saturday

Those of you that participated in last weeks Pink Saturday received some wonderful blessings and inspirations. Beverly at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog paid a great tribute to a wonderful lady and her cause.

Your size is available if you need a pink shirt.

Even my morning newspaper is being delivered in a pink wrapper.

Please take time out to visit Peggy at http://dayofthelily.blogspot.com. We discovered each other through comments. She is a lovely lady that could use a tad of cheer. She is experiencing the terrible discomfort and pain of arthritis in her left hand. Even during these bad times, she still has a good outlook and continues to carry on as usual. Her blog will bless you.

Vintage Sewing Machine

Coloradolady, at http://coloradolady.blogspot.com, "time out" is not over. Vintage Thingies Thursday has had an important link missing for a few weeks. Due to the hours and demands of her job, she will not be with us for a couple more weeks. She will be back soon.

This was my mother's old Singer sewing machine. She made all our cloths from feed or flour sacks on it. My sister has had it since her death. It has never been used since then, but well taken care of.

It only needs a new belt for foot pedal wheel and it would work perfectly.

As you can, my sister believes in keeping records of things. This is the original little instructions book that came with it.

Best of all, she has the original receipt when it was purchased in 1946. By today's standards that is a good price, but back then, it was a lot of money.

This machine will belong to our own Coloradolady when she has time to go get it. We want it to stay in the family.
