This is an antique vintage oak swivel piano stool with eagle claw glass feet. It is in good, solid condition. It could use some refinishing, but I chose to leave it as it is. I bought this from an antique mall in Georgetown, Texas in the 80's
I was going to use it as a vanity stool in my bathroom. That did not work out. It is now used as a plant stand.
This is an old three leg milking stool. I just use it as a door stop. It came from the estate of my late husband's aunt. 
Perhaps at some time, they could have used such a stool for milking. One thing for sure, it was not used during our milking days.
These are vintage food prices during 1932-1934:
Bacon (per lb.) .22 cents
Milk (per.qt) .10 cents
Coffee (per lb.) .26 cents
Sugar (per lb.) .05 cents
TIME really does make a difference!

Love your piano stool, and I'm glad you decided to leave it as is. So much character, and it looks pretty with the plant sitting on it! The little milking stool is so sweet too. Those food prices seem cheap, but I bet they weren't cheap back then!

I remember when a milkshake or a loaf of bread were ten cents! Our milking stools were all primitive things nothing fancy like yours!

My husband and I looked for a piano stool like this for years, but we finally gave up. I'll show him yours.
My mom and dad had a vintage piano stool very similar to yours - - - it is going to one of my daughters now that dad is passing their "stuff" down.

I remember as a kid riding my bike to the "Milk Machine"-the only place you could get milk on the week-end...like a soda dispenser but with milk-a quart cost 25 cents and that was a premium price, it must have been less at the supermarket!
Your use of the piano stool as a plant stand is creative. It certainly looks cute with that sweet doily on it.
I'd love to have an old piano stool but the prices are astronomical! My brother bought one when he was a teenager, refinished it, and it is lovely. Who knew he had a knack for finding goodies at such a young age. I like that you are re-purposing it as a plant stand.
Oh my gosh! Milk was 10 cents a quart. Can you imagine? Those really were the good old days.

I have an old piano stool just like that. I grew up with that stool! I remember when my sister and I were little and taking piano lessons, we would SPIN instead of practice!
