Vintage Thingies Thurday: - Fruit/Cups

For an experience of a life time, join us for a treat at Vintage Thingies Thursday with Coloradolady. You will be greatly surprised at what great vintage items you will find.

Mini, small decorative fruit. All alabaster in fantastic colors. This fruit is from the 50's.

There are 11 pieces to this set. It includes, best I can determine, lemon, apple, orange, peach, plum, strawberry, pear, banana, apricot, and 2 figs.

I have previously shown my Occupied Japan figurines. While digging around, I found this little miniature cup and saucer.

This lovely yellow cup and saucer came from the estate of my in-laws. It is quite old.

I would love to find some fruit like yours! I like them in that glass bowl, or they would look great in an old apothecary jar. Those cups and saucers are so pretty, especially the yellow pair!

Such a pretty cup and saucer set. The colors are just so beautifully bright ... it really is amazing that they are as old as they are and still look so bright.
Very nice!

I know some folks who collect " made in occupied China" things, but this is the cutest little cup and saucer that I've seen.

Shall we have some fruit with our tea?

Oh my goodness! That fruit reminds me of the exact same fruit we had on our table growing up! I had forgotten all about it. I LOVED the banana. I would pick it up all the time and pretend it was a phone. Thank you for stirring this memory!
