I am sure most of you think you have seen lots of vintage items. If you have not had time to visit Coloradolady at Vintage Thingies Thursday, you are in for a big surprise. It is a wonderful way to share a part of the past.
While going through some old boxes and papers of my late father-in-law, I found these two prints. I thought they were so colorful and had never seen any like them. I took them and had them framed in order preserve them.
They were painted with an embossed look
Each were signed and painted in 1942. I could not read the signature. Perhaps some of you out there is familiar with the name or can read it. I have them hanging in my den and really enjoy them.

Both of those prints are adorable! It would be a pleasure to see those every day!
Hi LV and thank you for your visit today! You are a very young-looking 79 and judging from the way your are bending over tending your garden in the post below you are in great shape ;)

I hope someone can identify them.
Those prints are so retro and love the bright colors. A lot of inspiration can come from them.
Sweet prints, you'll have to frame
them they're lovely!
How lovely the prints are.., and I hope someone can help with the identity. Happy VTT and have a lovely weekend.
those two prints are lovely.. I like the first photo you shared here.. and to have it with signatures at both prints, were awesome! thanks for sharing and have a great day! Happy VTt
Well, I am glad you got your post up....I am just now on the computer! The prints turned out great...hopefully someone can identify them.
Have a great VTT!
those prints are lovely so glad you had them framed i bet they brighten up your den :)
Lovely prints - super that you framed them! They would cheer up any room!
Great prints...they look wonderful framed!
Love the picture of the boys on the water. Times have changed, haven't they? Would we now allow boys that age unattended without life jackets on water? The good old days, and somehow we survived! Sally
The colors in these are wonderful! I love how much fun it looks like the kids are having.
i especially like the one with the children...that made me grin!
have a wonderful weekend.

I sure like those two prints. I'm sorry I can't help you identify the artist, but I think 1942 is a great year -- I was born that year!
That print of the two boys is sooo cute! Love their expressions.
I like the first one a lot. Reminds me of books I had when I was a kid, a long time ago.
Those colors are so bright and pretty! That first one reminds me of the Dick and Jane series of schoolbooks/readers.
Very nice indeed!
Happy VTT!
Cathy
