Personal Pink Saturday

Once again, I am using Pink Saturday to share a special time in my life.  If you really want to see some of the best worldwide pinks, just go to http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog and spend the day with Beverly.

Recently I was blessed with another birthday.  There was no cake, not even a cupcake.

Instead, my daughter-in-law made a banana pudding.  It was perfect.  She made the entire pudding from scratch.. There is no way I could ever tell you how delicious this was.

My daughter-in-law loves to cook and is an excellent one.  I have not seen anything she has made that did not turn out great.  In fact, she had never made chicken and dumplings.  At my request, she made some  the old fashion way.  They were some of the best I have had in a long time. Of course, she had a  table full of other goodies for all the family to enjoy.

Wish I had a made a picture of the table as it looked very nice.  As you can see, she had it decorated in pinks. Thanks again Linda for everything you did.

At a certain stage of your life, there is not much you need in the way of gifts. So I told my great grandson, all I wanted was him for my birthday.  When they arrived, he had this ribbon around his neck as my gift  Thank the Lord for kids, grand kids and great grand ones.

Awww, Sweetpea!! How lovely you are, with your sweet smile over the pudding!

We've stuck many a candle in a banana pudding at our house---it's a favorite forever. In fact, I have the "makin's" right here in the pass-through to the kitchen, set out LAST weekend for company, and we were too busy talking to get it made.

I love seeing how much you are LOVED.

Happy belated birthday. Looks like you had a great celebration.

I love banana pudding. My SIL makes it for family outings all the time. She uses a recipe by Paula Deen that is fabulous.

You have a handsome and sharp grandson.
