Vintage Thingies Thursday

Sorry I missed last weeks Vintage Thingies Thursday with Coloradolady and her friends. I always look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with in the vintage world.

I saw these plates in an antique store. Plates were all the pieces available. Not sure what they were used for.

I certainly did not need any more dishes, but I thought the pattern on them was so pretty. When I turned the plate over and saw what was on it, I could not resist. I only bought four of the plates. I tried researching the LV marking, but no luck. I have no idea what it really stands for, but I had never seen that marking on anything before. The important thing is, it stands for me.

Well of course you had to have those plates, LV! It would have been silly not to get them! And they're beautiful too! I've got a book on China markings, so I'll take a look and hopefully find your plates!
Happy VTT!

Well how fun is that! Your initials right there on the back of the plate. Your close up the flowers is so pretty - nice details.

I cannot believe, you are a young 80. My Papa retired at 81! He was so healthy until then. He was an artist who painted cathedrals in southern Italy. Go check out his work on my blog. You'll love it! It's a few posts down.

It is a cold, wet, dreary morning and I just don't want to work! What better way is there to spend my time than finding great blogs like yours. I have square plates like this in a different pattern. I was told they are luncheon plates. I just love the shape.

I have not idea about the LV - but yes...so nice. Perfect for you...although pretty perfect anyway
