Outdoor Wednesday

Susan and her outdoor friends gather each Wednesday to show off some very interesting sights.  Let's check them out at http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com

I recently had the tree to the left of my shed cut down. This was the way it was before the tree trimmers started. I sat and watched the entire process and it is amazing how they go about doing the job. Go up the  tree like a monkey. They made me a nervous wreck just watching.

The fellow is now descending after being at the top.

When they got it down, this was all I had let.  However, since then, the stump has been ground up.

We had to get someone to chop a giant tree down in our yard. It's not work I would sign up for.

They are taking down trees left and right in my area due to tree bugs. It has sadly become a common sight for us. But if they were in my yard, I'd be a nervous wreck, too.

We've had trees trimmed in our yard, and it's amazing how the guys climb the trees. Great pictures.

They looked like good and efficient workers, LV! Now there is more room for the other trees to spread out.

They are so efficient. Hey...the stump can be use as a landscape for gardening. Maybe drill the core ...add some soil and plant some flowers in it :)

Such a shame they had to cut it down. It was beautiful. What was the reason?

It's always sad to see a tree having to be cut down, but sometimes it is necessary. I agree, those those guys do some awesome work. I love the photo of the little pink Baptist Church. Such an unusual design - at least for my part of the country.

Rightnow, we are getting lots and lots of rain. Some areas are flooding, and thousands of folks are without power. Hopefully this won't much worse, however the weather forecaster says it will. Along with this, there is a hurricane working its way toward our East Coast. Oh goodie.

Well, I have to get ready now to leave for an appointment. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

Those guys know how to take care of tall trees. I have watched them as well and find it both scary and interesting.

It is amazing how lumbermen can work so hard, so fast and go on to the next job. We had a tree which fell in between two trees otherwise it would have hit our propane tank. I was amazed how they knew where to cut the tree down without any fatalities or fire or explosion happening. Thank God for lumbermen and lumberwomen.

I have watched big trees being taken down before, and definitely a job I could have never handled.
