A Cold Pink Saturday

Have not had ice like this in years.

Some of the ice coated leaves.

A street scene looking out of my window.

My neighbor's ice covered car.

Sorry to hear you have this ice. I live in PA where it's always snowy and icy and I hate it! I'd rather be where you are! ha!

Happy Pink Saturday, LV! An old friend of mine travelled to Dallas, from north of Sweden, to participate in a marathon and I just found out the race has been cancelled due to the snowy weather!! Summer greetings from Australia♥ ~Pernilla

I hate ice more than snow. At least you can drive in snow, but ice is too dangerous. Hope it melts soon. We are cold down here near the gulf too, but not as cold as you. Stay warm and safe. The ice is pretty to look at when you are warm and cozy inside.

Susan and Bentley

Ah, well, I understand that ice is coming our way next. Can't say it'll come as a stranger. You might say we've grown accustomed to its face. :-)

Your second picture is just beautiful! I HATE ice, I slipped on it once and broke my leg. I would rather have snow. Ice is treacherous! Stay safe!!!

Hi LV! I see Texas got some snow, here in Omaha, NE is very cold! But we not snow yet. I'm very happy about it, since I'm not so good to drive in the snow.

You must be in the Dallas area. My daughters in that area posted Facebook photos of their iced trees and said all the schools were closed. Not so bad here in south Texas... Just really-really cold!

Keep warm and be safe! Dixie

I hope you stay safe and warm until better weather arrives in Texas. The bad weather has now made it to Tennessee.

we haven't had a real snow or ice storm this year yet

Stay safe. Ice is probably one of the worst conditions as far as I'm concerned.

Keep warm, that kind of weather is shocking when you're not used to it!

Wow, LV, the weather is bad. Don't go outside please. It is so easy to slip on ice. I have done it and it hurts. LOL. I agree, spend some time enjoying all the pink and some Christmas posts for Pink Saturday.

You made me smile when you mentioned being fancy was not the Texas way. Don't think I do this that often. LOL. Oh I admit that I do enjoy a pretty table and my mom raised us this way. Her mother raised her that way before that. However, my grandmother was over the top with being formal and it was something I did not love when I was a child. She wouldn't let us call her grandma. My great grandma Safrona on my grandfather's side of the family was a warm and loving woman. I loved her dearly.

Stay warm my sweet friend.
Love, Jeanne

Fine shots of the unusual weather. Ice is so bad because it's so hard to do anything about it. Hopefully warmer weather will arrive soon.

brrr, it all looks so cold.
I was born in Dallas and lived there until 7 yrs old...I never saw snow there. I went back every summer until I married to see my dad...not sure HE ever saw snow, either. He lived in Dallas his whole life.
Stay inside and stay warm, dear one.

Your pictures are so pretty but ice is also pretty scary. Stay warm and safe. ;-)

Seattle is the same kind of temps, and way too cold. Lord only knows the plants I've lost outside. Should be reasonable on Tuesday here, too. Brrrrrr!

Blasted cold everywhere! I saw a T.V. reporter in OKC doing a segment and someone hit him full in the face with a huge snowball! Praying that snow moves out of OKC as Nick comes home Friday Dec 13, Noelle's birthday! A high school friend lives in Tulsa! She said the weather was cold and miserable there too. Be safe and stay warm. Those ice storms are so treacherous. Hugs Anne

Can you believe what Texas Mother Nature has done to us this early in December? Although, it's pretty through the window...I'm with ya on staying in and checking out the Pinks for Pink Saturday.

Oh, dear LaVoice. I feel for you because I hate ice. I don't mind snow, but ice is just scary. Please stay inside and be safe.

Happy Pink Saturday, my sweet friend.

I've been thinking about you! Snow and ice are even harder when you live where it is so rare. There is over a foot of snow in the part of the Pacific Northwest where most of our family live and we are not used to it there either (usually it just rains in the winter as you know).

Be safe, stay indoors if you can ... this is the same thing I told all my kids in Oregon.

Truly breath taking and unforgettable photos. We were hoping for snow, but it never came. Guess you got our cold snap instead. Continued prayers for a warm up and a quick thaw for you.

Oh wow, LV! Be careful if you have to go outside. I usually tumbled at least once or twice each winter in Kentucky when I wasn't being extra careful. I made sure my mom stayed inside tho so she did fine :)

We are chilly in Washington but nothing like what I hear y'all are dealing with. Hopefully it will clear up soon! :)
