Blue Monday

Smiling Sally

No better way to start your week off than spending time with Sally at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com. Click her button for a grand tour of blues.

Some people can take nothing and make something lovely from it.  This is just an old tree limb with pretty blue bottles stuck on a branch. They called it the bottle tree.

A very cute and pretty pale blue lady lamp.

We have quite a few of the blue bottle trees around here. It is from an old spiritual belief from Africa I believe. The blue bottles trap bad spirits. I am going to do a post on it shortly.

I love that cobalt blue of the bottles. But that lamp . . . is super special. I wonder what the price is?

Thanks for sharing these beautiful blues.

Happy Blue Monday, La Voice.

I've seen a few bottle trees around. The blue is a fabulous shade, and what a pretty milk glass lamp.

Hi LV, haven't been around for awhile but your blue bird caught my eye today. Hope things are going good for you.I congratulate you on your 83 yrs. I have 75 and am enjoying them more and more. I see where you have hit your 1000 post. This is my second blog and lost a few when I had to make a change. I think this is the very thing to keep us seniors in the loop and learning.

Hi LV, I am late visiting for PS and so I am catching up today. Your PS post is precious and congrats on 1000 posts. Your candles lit is an adorable idea. Clever you. I agree with all your sentiments about blogging. The rewards are amazing and the friends we never meet mean so much. I expect to be blogging until I am unable to do it anymore. Just like you.I have slowed down a bit but I don't want to stop. I think you are a terrific blogger and I am so happy I met you.

Your blue bottle tree is fun today. My sister has one and they call it their bottle garden. The sweet blue lamp is also precious.

Happy blogging LV.
Love,
Jeanne
