I know it isn't, but that looks like Milton Berle in the cowboy hat! I remember all this!

What a wonderful collection of vintage music. I am familiar with most of it, some of it my son has on his iPod! I enjoyed this vintage musical eye candy!

Oh My----that old music brought back memories to me. I played the piano from age 7-college... I had more old music than you can imagine...

Great to see the old Hank Snow and Eddie Arnold music....

Love it...

Betsy

Brings back so many memories of music played on record players and good times in the country. Ah youth, how fleeting it is...

I don't know why I'm so fascinated by old sheet music. I don't plan an instrument, but I always want to bring some home.

So far, I've been resisting the temptation.

Do you sing these or play an instrument? Or did you have a crush on Hank Snow or Eddie Arnold? Just curious. Have a great week.

How funny to see Hank Snow with a cigarette between his fingers. There was a time when that was "cool," but these days cigarette smokers are almost treated like pariahs!

A DAY WITHOUT SCARLET

A day without scarlet, they say,
Can color the soul ashen-grey;
For if there’s no red,
The soul feels half-dead,
And has no incentive to play.

I love the old sheet music! (I'm also a Frank Sinatra fan!) I kept some of m,y great-grandmother's music that she has when she played guitar. I played for a while and she was tickled when I did because she had played.

Thanks for bringing that sweet memory to my mind! :)

I can just feel and smell the crackly paper of that sheet music. Our piano bench was filled with these.

And I'd spend almost as much time at the music rack in our little drugstore as most kids did at the comic books.

LV,

You already know my love for VINTAGE things and music is definitely one of them. Who would know that the music I made fun of my parents for listening to, I am now enjoying in my 40's.

Times were much different, more simple and it comes across in the music even more.

Love and Hugs ~ Kat
