As most of you are aware, Suzanne, Coloradolady has not been blogging for awhile. Due to circumstance beyond her control, she has not had the time. Well, to top it off, during last weeks storm, a big tree fell on their house and caused extensive damage. The major damage was roof, structural, and water between the walls. They have brought in big machines trying to pull out some of the water, but no luck. Today movers removed their household things to storage.
Insurance company going to try and get a house trailer moved nearby for them to use while renovation is being done. That would be a good solution as she has four dogs as most of you are aware. Cannot find places that will let you have that many pets, and putting them in a kennel is out of the question. It is going to be a long, stressful and frustrating time for her. The following are her words on a post she published Wednesday in case you missed it.
"Things have been rocky here since the first of August, and seems to just have spiraled out of control to a full blown disaster. I don't know when I will be back online, or able to blog again....and if I don't make an appearance before the first of the year, I want to wish all my blogging friends a Happy New Holiday season and a wonderful New Year."

I don't know her, LV, but that is awful. I will be praying that they can get a mobile home situated for them and that the rebuilding process is not too stressful. How terrible!!!
This is just dreadful!!! I hope things go well with the repairs, and she can move back in sooner than they had said. I always get nervous about nearby big trees falling in a storm. There is an enormous one, a tall pine, coming over onto our property from the neighbor. But she will not cut it down.
Hi LaVoice, hope there is some way you can keep in touch with Suzanne and let your readers know how things are going. Sure hope that a mobile home can be put on her property so the dogs will be in a familiar area. Oh dear, such a tough situation.

Oh My---I am so sorry to hear this. I know it grieves you to know what they are going through.. I will keep Suzanne and her family ---especially YOU, in my prayers... I hope they can get their home renovated soon.
Hugs and Prayers,
Betsy
Dearest LV,
What a fate, looks like so many of the homes in our subdivision this February after a tornado + heavy rains. Hope the damage will not be too bad.
She still has a lot of humor for wishing us happy holidays.
May all work out well.
Hugs,
Mariette
We used to have a tree like that in my yard about the same distance from the house but a good bit larger.
Everytime there was a thunderstorm I'd hope it would land in another direction if it were to fall. We had it cut down a few years ago.
I always feel so sorry for those with the unlucky houses.
Oh my goodness! What a stressful time. Praying for them.
Thanks for updating us LV. So sorry to hear and see the unfortunate news on Suzanne and her family. I will miss visiting her blog and the doxies. Please give her my best. With luck, we'll see her back bloggong in January. Pam
Oh my, God Speed to all. Take good care of you.
Oh my, poor Suzanne. That is a huge tree and a huge mess. I hope the trailer arrives soon so she can live in it during the repairs, with her 4 dogs.
OK...I see you have it covered..good job, LV....
Thanks for posting the news and photos about the damage to Suzanne's house. What a mess! Please keep us up to date on what is going on!
Oh that poor girl .. she is your niece I think isn't she? How terrible. I am so sorry for anyone having to go through such a thing. The insurance company definitely should provide a mobile home
