What a great way to start the week by visiting Smiling Sally on blue Monday. You will find her home at http://smilingsally.blogspot.com
Recently one of the towns nearby was having a craft show on the square. One of the vendors had these cool neck bands. As you can see, some of them had a touch of blue. These really felt great on our hot Texas days. They are made using super absorbing polymersis crystals. The same product that is used in baby diapers.

Those are really great on hot days, if I can remember to soak them and bring them along!
Sounds great for those hot days, and decorative too!
Now that's a new idea. Thanks for playing.
Have a good day.
Happy Blue Monday, La Voice.
Thanks for sharing, LV. These are new to me and I'd love to try them out here in SoCal!
i used to have one of those. wonder where it went...
Saw the same thing at a craft show this weekend in MA ~ great photo for HBM ~ thanks, carol, xo
Did you buy one of those "cool" neck bands, with the heat you all had this summer I think I probably would have.
Ann
The neckbands sound perfect for Texas weather!
Well, I learned something new today about the diapers and the coolants!! I thought diapers only had water absorbing things in them.
I have something similar, and they do feel good on a hot day.
Hi Meme love you more
Love, Layton
These neckbands would also be great on hot Californian days! Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog earlier!
How very informative. I don't know much about chemistry, except what I had to learn in nursing school. I love that shadow shot from Sunday. Good job.
Hi LV, I am having computer problems and Bill jury rigged a cord from the desk top out to my lap top in the great room. I hope this works. He says we need a new router. Whatever that is.
I am finally rested up and ready to post and visit again.
It has not been hot here in the mountains but we do have those neck cooler bands and love them. We wear them to the Gator football games. It is really hot in the stadium in the fall.
Happy belated Blue Monday.
Love, Jeanne
LV,
I can relate to this and have used something similar that I found at Lowe's. It actually worked so well when I managed to get a bad sunburn to keep drawing the heat out unlike adding a cool cloth to the burn.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
I've never heard of neck bands before, we could use some around here on these hot, humid days.
Sounds good for hot days! It has been cool up here in northern Michigan. Have a great week, Laura
Hm...sounds like a great idea! Stay cool! We actually have had a mild summer this year, compared to what everyone says it was like last summer!
Hugs!
Blessings & Aloha!
