Vintage Children's Books

Today is children's day on Coloradolady's Vintage Thursday. However, you will find other things of interest at http://coloradolady.blogspot.com.

All these little books are very vintage if you will note the dates. They are all from the Indian Library in Tahelquah, Okla. I have several more to feature for those interested in these type books.

Do you own these books? They are before my time, but I do remember the Lassie one.

Wow! Those books are really old.
I would love to read the "Red Feather" one.

My kids love reading these books. We got them from antique stores when my older kids were little.

Wonderful collection of vintage books. I, too, have The Best in Children's Books--from my own childhood.

Love these books! I do SO LOVE real live flesh and blood paper books. (Part of why I chose to work at a library) and I hope the e-variety NEVER put the paper ones totally out of print.

These are so neat! My mom had a series of the Best in Children's Books and we all read them as kids... I'd forgotten all about them! Thanks for the happy reminder!

This is what I would collect if I had the room (if I lived another life ;>)! I remember most of those books from my childhood. The 'best in children's books' was a little later I think ...my parents had bought the series for my younger sisters and then later gave them all to us for our kids. Happy memories! Thanks LV

Hi LV, these books are treasures for sure. I remember them all. When I was a child I loved to read and still do. I just don't have as much time as I would like. I common complaint these days I think. Smile.
Happy days to you dear friend.
Hugs, Jeanne

Just thought of checking you out, I hope that you are okay. You just came into my mind the other day and have thinking of you since then (maybe it's part of me missing my Mom overseas). I guess I got spoiled of your visit all the time and I miss your absence online. Take care Ms. LV!
