Outdoor Wednesday

It is much too hot to be Outdoor Wednesday or any other day. In Texas today it is 109 and no relief in sight. Drop by Susan at http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com and see how many cool outdoor scenes you can find.

This little bird is watching for the mail man. I guess even the birds have decided to join me in watching for the mail. Even when I was growing up, I loved walking to the mailbox and seeing what we had gotten. Some days that was all the excitement I had. Even today, I still watch for the mail to arrive.

This little fellow looks one way and then the other. We birds tend to stick together in our quest for mail.

Hope you get some cooler weather soon. We aren't that hot anymore and tonight begins a cool off for us. Stay in and let the birds do the watching.
Have a good evening!

Oh, yes, LV, getting mail was always somethings I liked too. When I was a girl, my cousins and I wrote back and forth during the summer so we always got something in the mail. Now, one of the same cousins still writes, but it doesn't come in the mailbox - e-mail now, but almost as much fun! We have suffered with the heat for so long, but getting a break today...hope you have cooler days soon.

I'm glad you still get excited at the mail! I used to, but less as time goes on. More bills and test results!

I would get more excited if I had this mail bird!!!

Cool Pics ! I love to get mail, too. Our Heat is finally breaking up and it getting more tolerable here in NC. I pray you get some relief in Texas soon.

I like getting mail as well, but I seem to get mostly bills. They're not so much fun.

This is, by far, the hottest, most blistering summer we have had in awhile. Then, to top it all off, the drought is just terrible. I have only had to mow ONE time this whole summer. Grass is brown and looks dead but Mr. Sweet says it will come back next year.
We just keep on praying for that loving rain to fall....:)
Stay cool, dear one, and watch for the mail from INside. :))

I still love going to the mailbox and seeing what has come. I have since I was a child.
This weather you are having is way too hot for anyone. I certainly hope that it breaks soon.
Wishing you a big old glass of sweet ice tea.

LV,
Everything in Texas is larger than life (so says my son-in-law!) so I guess the weather has to be hotter longer than anywhere else too. I'm so sorry that your state has had such a terrible spring and summer. We will pray for some relief for you all. Thanks for stopping by and your nice comments.

Oh my, what a cute post. 104 degrees, good golly it is HOT in Texas. I certainly hope you are staying inside with the airconditioner on. I really like how you caught the bird looking one way and then the other. It certainly does look like that bird is watching for the mail to arrive too. I hope it isn't just bills and junk mail in there like we have.

Thanks for sharing the same philosophy as me.

The rain forests are destroyed and the river floods.

These are the country of my birth.

The poor people can't say a thing.

In my school in New Zealand, we teach our kids to be environmentally conscious, last year, we taught them to be aware that rain forest are cut down to give way for oil palm, they kids are made aware of oil palm products.

Are you teaching your bird to sing, " Please mr. Postmans?"

Thank you for your comments.
I really do try to make the best of every day God had has given to me. Some days it is hard to find the beauty, but God is faithful.
I know that you know that.

Ha! I love that bird, looking both ways for the mail truck.

It's been really temperate here in Southern Cali, only getting up to about 100, lol.

I love the two photos of the bird on the mail box - the turn of its head, as if in anticipation.

Oh I'm so glad you posted the outside photos you took while you were IN. You are right that is MUCH too hot ... stay inside.

The bird is a cutie. I wait for my e-mail now though -- it is way more intereting than the snail variety ;>)
