My Day - - My Way

On August 25, 1929, 82 years ago, a baby girl was born to Vernon and Thelma Kirkland. She was delivered at home in a little place called Leary, Texas.


These two photos were made November, 1929. The back ground in one shot shows where we lived then. The backside of nowhere.

These are my early school days during 1930-40. Note those hair styles.

I graduated in 1948 from The Atlanta, Texas high school.

Later, this precious child, which was the love of our life, appeared. Our son, Terry.

As time went on, our family changed. Our son,Terry, grew up and our granddaughter, Carie joined us.
