Thursday is the best vintage day of the week. To see what I mean, go to http://coloradolady.blogspot and say hello to Coloradolady and her guests.
You probably cannot tell it, but this is the autograph of Larry Gatlin. Back in the 70's my co-workers took me to lunch for my birthday. He was in town for a show and happened to be eating in the same restaurant. He was very friendly and happy to share in my birthday.
As you can see this one is from Johnny Cash. Several years ago, my husband and I were on vacation in Jamaica and stayed at a hotel he was part owner. While there he came through the hotel. Naturally, I had to have his autograph. I regret not having them date each of these. Now that I am older, dates become more important.
Howard Duff and Ida Lupino that was caught at some event. Been so long, I forgot where.
Now I have had a crush on Dean Martin all my life. A friend of mine was on vacation in the late 60s or early 70s, and Dean was there on location making a movie. He very graciously got this as well as several other shots of him for me.

How neat! All big names, love the pic of Dean Martin, he just seemed to always be having fun:@)
Wonderful! Wait until Robin from Decorating Tennis Girls sees these. She loves old movie stars and she will be so excited to see your pics! Happy VTT!!

What a lovely collection, and what memories they all must kindle.
We've been recording "Have Gun, Will Travel every day at five, and watch an episode or two when we have our dinner on trays. I've been noticing that Ida Lupino directed quite a few of those; that shows how versatile her talents were. And Howard's DEEP chocolate voice---wasn't it special?
The only celebrity thing I can think of is a picture of me (postage stamp size) on a huge, poster size picture of Elvis. Oh, and I cooked dinner for Captain Kirk once.
How fun! Love that pics of you & Red.
you have a lovely collection, LV.
I used to collect autographs when we lived in California. Wonder where I put them all?

These are so cool!! I was just thinking the other day I ought to dig mine out of my Cedar Chest.
Who doesn't have a crush on Dino ♥♥♥ LOL
hmmm, cedar chest...I guess that really dates me. Do they even make them anymore?
*hugs*deb
I LOVED Red Buttons!! I ADORED Red Buttons!! I even watched him when he got lots older, he did some T.V. What's the story? Was he as sweet as he seemed? Ida Lupino and Howard Duff!!! I remember both of them! She was my favorite actress as a child, always played tragic roles! I saw lots of her movies.
Wonderful autographs and photos. Wonderful little moments in time that are such fun to remember.
These are great! You've had quite a few brushes with celebrities!! I have a Dean Martin story for you ... about 20 years ago, I was at a wedding with my dad. I said to him, "Dad, that man looks just like Dean Martin." He said, "What?! No, no. It isn't Dean Martin. We did this a few times that night. A couple of hours later, the band singer announces: " The bride's Uncle Dino would like to sing a song to the couple." (He wasn't really her uncle - just a family friend.) But he sang beautifully and my dad had to admit I knew his type of music better than he did. It was a memorable night.
How fun to meet celebrities! I don't think I have ever had the opportunity-
LV, you met several big stars! I never met anybody, except I stood next to Frank Sinatra crossing W. 55th St/5th Ave in NYC years ago, I looked up and realized it was him, but I was so tongue-tied (I was really young) and he winked at me. xo, (Looking forward to Part II)
How cool! I love all these. Ida and Howard, really neat!!! Susan, you are right, I love these!
I like your collection! Now, if you auction them off, you will be a millionaire :-) Have a wonderful weekend.
You and Red Buttons. What a cutie you are!!!
