We have made it over "hump" day and into Vintage Thursday. Coloradolady at http://coloradolady.blogspot.com invites you to join her for a wonderful vintage show.
These depression 1930-1940 cobalt blue sugar and creamer were made by Hazel-Atlas. They were gas station giveaways back then. The design on it is called "Chevron".
This is a matching footed salt shaker. The lid was so rusted, I threw it away. I guess the pepper shaker got lost somewhere along the way.

I have a creamer like this and I love it. The cobalt is amazing. Thanks for sharing your treasures. hugs, Linda
These are beautiful, I love the color!! I remember when you used to get really nice things just for filling up at a gas station. Steak knives, gold trimmed glasses, and they came running out and cleaned your windshield and checked your oil, all with a big smile!!
Oh my goodness, those pieces are beautiful...love the color!
That saltshaker would make a darling little vase. I love cobalt blue and square items. So cute.
These are so pretty, would look lovely on any table.

These are so much fun! I had loyal customers who always wanted blue! This would have made their day for sure.
Hope you are enjoying working in your yard! It was so good to be out again.
Hugs- Tete

LV, I've seen cobalt sugar and creamers like this in antique stores before, and they cost a fortune! I remember when gas stations had giveaways in the 60s too. We'll never see that again, will we?!
I love cobalt blue glass and your Chevron pattern is amazing. Hope you find the match to your shaker. ~~Sherry~~
Very nice! I don't have any blue collections. I may have to start one!
Beautiful cobalt pieces. I love any kind of blue glass ware.

Those are so pretty. I think some of the older items focus more on beauty, than todays things do.

They just don't do giveaways like they used to!
An obsolute favorite of mine, cobalt blue!

i love your cobalt blue pieces..i just can't believe they were giveaways!
These are the prettiest color blue!!! Thanks for sharing!
Isn't amazing what they gave away at the show, in soap boxes etc! now we treasure these once throw aways.
The blue in these pieces is certainly pretty. They would be good candidates for Blue Monday as well.
Oh, LV, I love these. Thanks for sharing them today. I used clean house for a nice lady named Yvonne, and she had the biggest collection of cobalt blue glass that I have ever seen. Thanks for bringing her to mind!
God bless,
Kathy

HI There, We are home after a few days with friends in North Carolina.

Hope you are having a good week.

Your blue items are so pretty -love the color!
Blue glass is so attractive. I don't remember gas station giveaways but I do remember others - like Tony the Tiger glasses in cereal and stuff. Or dishes in powdered detergent.
I can not believe you threw away that rusty lid....Rust is a good thing! I love all the blue glass. So pretty. Happy VTT!
I love the blues and vintage blues are the best!
I remember these. I think my mother had one and I have no idea what happened to it. I love the cobalt blue.
Very nice....

True blue cobalt beauty.
Wow! I am always amazed when I hear about all these neat things that they used to give away. Nowadays, companies don't give anything away.
