Vintage Thingies Thursday has arrived again. However, this time without Coloradolady at http://coloradolady.blogspot.com. As most of you know, she is taking a little time off from the blog world. We must not let her down, and show her we can do our vintage thingies anyway.
I posted this photo on post No.1 of the this series. I added my father-in-law again this week to show the tower he is standing by in the picture is the same one on my first photo. Bear in mind, these are his original creations. Seems he liked the color red. People came from all around to buy these birdhouses. To my knowledge, none of them were left in the family.
Do not miss next week's showing. It is the last in a series of four. You will see more of the great birdhouses he designed.

Hi LV Sweetie...
What a beautiful share. I love the photos you posted, and the last one I believe looked like a pagadoda? That is my favorite of all. I love the way the little shingles or roofing curls. It is so pretty. Thank you for sharing. That tower is way up there. I am sure that the birds would be happy as they would be so safe.
Have a beautiful Thursday sweet friend. Many hugs and so much love, Sherry
These are works of art.Too bad none stayed in the family.
Blessings,Ruth
Wow, LV, these are truly works of art. How creative and whimsical.
Thank you for sharing :)

P.S. Thank you for your kind words while I was under the weather.
I love the birdhouses. I'm guessing from the plaid pants that the first picture is about 1975.
Wow LV, these were so very creative! Very cheerful!

Oh LV, what wonderful birdhouses! What talent your father-in-law had. I'm so sorry that your family doesn't have one as a keepsake.
Thank you so much for your sweet comments on my post today.
Happy VTT,
Sally
What incredible bird houses! They are just a delight to see. Thank you so much for sharing the photos.
I love birdhouses...always have! And I love your photos. Your father was truly a talented man! They are really works of art! It's sad that none are left in your family. My grandfather used to make porch swings and people would come like crazy to buy them, but like your father's birdhouses, none are left in the family. Thank you so much for sharing something so special with us. I can't wait to see your last installment next week.

Oh how neat, LV.... Your father-in-law was a very talented man... I love all of those fancy bird houses.
Hugs,

These are great birdhouses. The red really makes them stand out. Your father-in-law was definitely skilled.
What a superbly talented man!
Wow, his bird houses are amazing! What a talented man. You just don't see such detail now.
What unusual birdhouses!
Wow, more of your father-in-law's artistic creations! They are wonderful. I don't know if he was an architect or not, but he would have been a great one.
